DNA Genetics released The LA Confidential strain in the early 2000’s and it quickly gained a reputation as an award-winning variety of cannabis. It has received a number of honors in the competition circuit, including 3rd place for Best Indica at the 2004 Cannabis Cup and 2nd place the following year. The awards should come as no surprise when you consider the LA Confidential strain’s pedigree. It is the result of crossing an unspecified Afghani landrace with OG LA Affie, a three way hybrid that was developed circa 1978 by a northern California breeder named Johnny Que.
